Altincizme, an audio rental company based in Istanbul, recently provided a pair of HARMAN Soundcraft Vi Series consoles as part of the sound reinforcement system for three concerts at Istanbul’s Harbiye Open Air Theater featuring legendary Turkish pop superstar Sezen Aksu. Appearing with her Acoustic Band (featuring Fahir Atakoğlu) she was returning after a 2-year absence from performing live for the Istanbul audience (having been away touring Europe with Vi6 consoles and Altinçizme).Once again the trusty Soundcraft desks were on duty in Istanbul.

A trio of HARMAN Soundcraft Vi consoles created a unique workflow recently when one of the legends of the Disco era, Nile Rodgers, performed with his 9-piece band in a special one-off concert at London’s IndigO2, performing under the name “Chic featuring Nile Rodgers.”

While on tour with 5-piece indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs, sound engineer Chris Leckie, relies on HARMAN’s Soundcraft Vi Series consoles for all FOH and monitor needs. Kaiser Chiefs, who released their debut album titled Employment in 2005, have enjoyed great international success touring throughout Europe and the North America.

Three-piece UK all-girl vocal group Stooshe is now using a pair of HARMAN's Soundcraft Vi1 digital audio consoles on the road. The band's popularity soared after sales of its debut single Black Heart reached more than 500,000, which led to a dedicated monitor engineer being brought in to the fold to join John Delf at FOH.

The recent X Chili Cook-Off 2011 outdoor music festival combined blazing music with offerings from some of the area’s hottest chili chefs. Held at the Richmond Raceway Complex in Virginia and hosted by radio station 102.1 The X, performers such as Seether, Sick Puppies, 10 Years, Saving Abel and The Dirty Heads, were mixed through two of HARMAN’s Soundcraft Vi4 digital consoles, deployed by Soundworks.

When members of Dire Straits got back together for a one-off charity event at the Albert Hall, sound engineer Matthew Manasse was asked to look after the front of house mix. Having previous connections with keyboard player Alan Clark, and being a close colleague of their original engineer Robert Collins, Matthew was an obvious choice.

South Korea’s FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS, an entertainment lighting company founded in 2013, has added 70 Claypaky Sharpy Plus fixtures to its inventory.

Adlib is supplying lighting and sound to the current The Specials tour which sees the UK’s favourite 2 Tone and Ska revival band take their energy, politics and rocksteady beats around the country to their wide and loyal fanbase. Mike Darling is again the charismatic and friendly Production Manager for the tour.

As is now customary, Hyde Park played host to the final weekend of its long season recently, with Proms in the Park on the Saturday making way for BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park the following day.
 

GLP could hardly have picked a more auspicious event than the legendary Halftime Show at Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Arizona for its new X4 Bar 20 LED batten to make a spectacular North American debut.

Lighting designer Al Paquette was looking for some new and exciting fixtures to incorporate into his design for the current “1000 Arms” tour by Canadian country rockers Blue Rodeo ... and chose Robe Spiiders and PATT 2013s which were newly purchased by lighting vendor Apex Sound & Light from Ontario, Canada.
