With the On Air Music Awards, the Romanian music industry started a new show intended to recognize and reward the best of Romanian music. The award ceremony, taking place in the Great Hall at the Bucharest National Theater, featured a lighting design by Sergiu Ardelean who used the cost-free grandMA2 onPC software for pre-programming, and ran the show on a grandMA2 full-size. Alin Popa was the head of lighting.

Clay Paky Conquers the 2013 Eurovision Stage

Lighting designer Fredrik Jönsson specified over 700 Clay Paky fixtures to provide stunning lighting effects forming the centrepiece of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, the world’s largest non-sporting television production.   This large supply of equipment was coordinated by Clay Paky’s Swedish distributor, Interlite AB, that managed contacts with technical supplier Starlight as well as with SVT (Swedish Television), producers of the ESC 2013.

ESC 2013- What a Show! Artists Relied on Sennheiser Mics and In-Ears

This year’s Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) saw the host broadcaster and production team create a spectacular and joyous festival of songs and unique performances to delight an audience of over 100 million viewers. From the Olympic-style flag-waving entry of the 26 finalists into the arena – via a bridge that was lowered over the auditorium – to the hilarious Stockholm tour given by spoof “Official EBU Host” Lynda Woodruff: the programme on 18 May was varied and captivating. A star turn was provided by actress and comedienne Petra Mede, who hosted the contest and also performed as a singer and dancer. Both she and the artists relied on Sennheiser Digital 9000 microphones and 2000 Series in-ear monitors for the show.

The German Idol's Finale 2013 Broadcast from MMC Studio 30/31

Up to 6.53 million viewers watched the finale of 'Deutschland sucht den Superstar' (German Idol) broadcast live on RTL from MMC’s studio 30/31. On Saturday, May 18th, Beatrice Egli (age 24) was voted as the winner of the 10th season of German Idol. The hit singer from Switzerland won with 70.25 percent of all audience votes against her competitor Lisa Wohlgemut (age 21) from Neundorf.
