lunatX Supplied all Special Effects for the ESC 2011
Acting on behalf of NDR the production company Brainpool TV GmbH commissioned lunatX to supply all the special effects for the entire Eurovision Song contest 2011. The order incorporated the normal rehearsals, dress rehearsal, both semi-finals as well as the jury-final and final. The effects specialists installed a total of 20 tonnes of equipment, for which twelve technicians needed two weeks and a further two weeks for rehearsals. lunatX had less than two months for preparations for Germany’s event highlight of the year.

Clay Paky at Ultra Music Festival, Miami, Florida
The 13th Ultra Music Festival drew well over 100,000 techno fans to Miami’s Bicentennial Park in late March, expanding to a three-day format for the first time. The event, which has developed a huge following among techno and electronic music fans, featured more than 300 DJs and numerous bands performing on six stages. Headliners on the main stage included The Chemical Brothers, Duran Duran and Tiësto.

Pietro Lombardi is the winner of the 8th season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" (German Idol). On Saturday 7 June 2011, the 18-year-old singer competed in the grand finale at MMC’s stage 30/31 with his same-aged girlfriend Sarah Engels. In the end, 51.9 % of the viewers voted for Lombardi. He won the contest and a recording contract with Universal Music.
