Top Gear Live (TGL) – the show that presents all the adrenaline, excitement, humour, serious motoring stunts and moments of the top TV show in a breath-taking arena extravaganza – has just completed a whistle-stop European tour playing Prague, Budapest, Zagreb and Turin.

XL Video renewed its long and productive working relationship with Robbie Williams, supplying a custom video solution and crew to his current and massively popular ‘Swings Both Ways’ tour.

An impressive array of Clay Paky fixtures recently took center stage, or rather nine stages, on the unique new interactive talent show, “Keep Your Light Shining”, which claims, “You should never hide your talent in the dark”. The show debuted on German Pro7 television with lighting designer Jerry Appelt using lighting as one of the main components of this clever show.

Everyone is familiar with the idea of a rock concert, but few events take the word ‘rock’ as literally as the recent series of outdoor gigs staged in Norway by the Pink Floyd tribute band Puls. Against the dramatic backdrop of the Kilden-Fjæreheia quarry in Grimstad, the band played six sold-out nights to audiences who were wowed not just by the music but by the spectacular projection-mapped backdrop that was created courtesy of AV Stumpfl’s Wings AV multi-image control technology.

Brilliant Stages continues its long-standing relationship with top showman Robbie Williams and the ever-inventive Ray Winkler and Ric Lipson of Stufish by its collaboration on the design and fabrication of the stage set for Williams’ Swing Both Ways tour. The dazzling arena tour has seen Williams promote his new album across Europe from April to July, culminating in four dates at London’s O2 arena, before it travels to Australia in September.

Working with Video Director Blue Leach for Pearl Jam Inc. Creative Technology (CT) provided the video equipment to complement Blue’s visual directing for the twelve date European leg of Pearl Jam’s international tour. Until this tour, Pearl Jam has never toured with cameras and screens, however Blue quickly established a creative connection with the band after warm up shows in London, Ontario and Wrigley Field in Chicago last July (2013).

George Strait holds the record for the most number one country music hits – 44 top charters since 1981 – of all time. So it only makes sense that the final show of this music icon’s national touring career would also set a record for attendance. Nearly 105,000 fans attended Strait’s June 7 concert at AT&T Stadium, eclipsing the Rolling Stones’ previous attendance record of 87,500 for the venue in 1981, coincidentally the same year everyone’s favorite singing cowboy launched his professional career.
