The front lid of this semi-hard suitcase-style carrier unzips quickly to reveal a central compartment contoured to comfortably fit up to two DSLR cameras with lenses attached. Detachable internal dividers help secure contents and create pockets for storing a mattebox, camera plate, follow focus, camera light, viewfinder, cables, etc. With the dividers removed, the DigiSuite can serve as a regular suitcase. On the lid’s interior, a padded pouch can hold a personal computer with up to a 17” screen. Contents are surrounded and cushioned by soft padded red fabric.

Jörg Heise, 47, has joined Riedel Communications GmbH & Co KG as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO). Heise began his duties at the well-known communications, audio and video network specialist in May, 2011 in Wuppertal.

PBS member station WHYY-TV in Philadelphia (DMA #4) has installed Broadcast Pix™ Granite™ live video production systems in two control rooms. Earlier this year, WHYY added a Granite 5000 when it converted the control room in its Content Production Center (CPC) into a flexible, multimedia resource for live production and more. A Granite 1000 is also at the heart of the Dorrance H. Hamilton Public Media Commons, an 8,000-square-foot interactive learning environment that opened last summer.

In February, German broadcaster ZDF provided the host broadcast facilities for the 2011 World Ski Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Immediately before the event, it added a new Grass Valley™ LDK 8300 Live Super SloMo camera paired with a K2 Dyno™ Replay System. ZDF also bought two new Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite wireless cameras systems to add to its outside broadcast inventory.
