The Associated Press (AP) has chosen a large Custom Consoles ‘monitor-scape’ video display support system and Module-R desks for a new high-definition master control room at its global media hub in Camden, London. The Master Control Room (MCR) is the international hub of AP’s global video operation, serving client broadcasters on a round-the-clock basis every day of the year. The HD MCR project was co-ordinated by Letchworth-based systems integrator ATG Broadcast.

Broadcast Rental, a full-service rental house, has recently invested in five new 8-channel XT3 production servers from EVS. “The new generation of EVS servers will broaden our customers’ recording and live production capabilities with 3Gbps in/out channels and an increased internal bandwidth of up to 550 Mb/s per video channel” explained GP Slee, Managing Director and founder of Broadcast Rental.

Danmon Svenska AB announces the appointment of Robert Tinterov as Managing Director. He joined the company with effect from Tuesday 15 November 2011 and is located at Danmon Svenska AB's headquarters in Täby. Robert Tinterov takes over from Robert Rosenberg who has been appointed Managing Director of the newly-established company Danmon Asia based in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi.

Canon Inc. and Canon Europe raised the curtain on an all-new interchangeable-lens digital video camcorder that combines exceptional imaging performance with outstanding mobility and expandability to meet the demanding production needs of today's motion picture industry. The camcorder, which features a newly developed Super 35 mm-equivalent approximately 8.29-megapixel CMOS sensor, will be available in two models: the EOS C300 Digital Video Camcorder, equipped with an EF lens mount for compatibility with Canon's current diverse lineup of interchangeable EF lenses for EOS single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras and new EF Cinema Lens lineup; and the EOS C300 PL Digital Video Camcorder, with a PL lens mount for use with industry-standard PL lenses.
