To cover the groundbreaking elections in October, Georgian Public Broadcaster - the national public broadcaster - installed a virtual studio with augmented reality graphics.  To make their production a reality, GPB used Ross Video, a solutions provider for augmented reality and virtual sets.  The Ross solution includes a CrossOver Compact Production Switcher, openGear Terminal Equipment, Furio Robotic Camera System, and XPression Real-Time Motion Graphics combined with UnReel’s Xperience UX Software.  Ross partner, Dutchview Prographics, developed the election graphics and helped with the implementation.

On November 6th when results from the United States Presidential election race come pouring in, nearly 90 percent of the world will be watching live video and graphic tabulations produced with Vizrt equipment as Vizrt continues to be the company the world is truly watching. Thousands of Viz Engines will be working overtime for this event, performing real-time video and graphic composites and rendering 2D and 3D animations in SD and HD.

Audio rental systems provider On Stage Audio has supplied JBL VRX Constant Curvature loudspeakers for use in all three presidential debates and the vice presidential debate. The presidential debates took place at the University of Denver on October 4, Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York on October 16, and Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida on October 22. Additionally, the vice presidential debate took place October 11 at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

Every year a different German city holds a major celebration of the momentous events of November 1989, when the process of opening the Berlin Wall - and the reunification of Germany - began. The recent Arsch Huh music festival in Cologne, Germany was one of the largest of the year, with 85,000 people enjoying performances by more than 25 bands including BAP, Bläck Fööss, Brings, Tommy Engel and other notable German artists. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit took place on Tuesday 24 December 2012 in Manama, capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain. As one of the main political events in the Middle East region, the summit was broadcasted in several territories around the world. Hitachi Kokusai Electric Europe has announced a significant win in the French market, with the recent deployment of its DK-H100 HDTV box cameras by the French National Assembly as part of a HD upgrade. The new cameras are being used to record the Assembly’s daily sessions at the Palais Bourbon in Paris. All footage is subsequently transmitted over a fibre optic connection to the master control room, located 350m away, for redistribution.
