Internationally renowned production manager Ola Melzig - Head of Production for Eurovision 2017 - is set to host the glamorous tenth anniversary edition of the Knight of Illumination Awards. The prestigious ceremony will be held on the 17th of September at one of London’s most iconic live entertainment venues, the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.

“Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar” (HNMPL - Today I Can’t Get Up) is a hugely successful Spanish ‘jukebox musical’ from Drive Productions telling the story of two struggling young musicians surviving in Madrid against a backdrop of drugs, AIDS and other social phenomena and chaos in the 1980s and immediate aftermath of Franco’s collapsed fascist regime.

Since 2004, Chinese Man has been one of the most innovative bands on the French trip hop scene. Originally from Aix-en-Provence, the now Marseille-based band blends a potent mix of hip-hop, funk, dub, reggae and jazz together with a big emphasis on beats and samples. The Tony Award-winning Best Musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ opened in London 19 November at the Noel Coward Theatre with video projection comprising the shows entire stage scenery. Supplied by Stage Sound Services, three disguise vx 4 and four gx 1 servers powered projections for the show, highlighting the huge impact of social media on daily life and create an immersive social media environment on stage for the actors.

An innovative ‘Citybus’, housing a mobile studio built entirely with Blackmagic Design products is broadcasting local news and features from the heart of a community in northern France. Matélé, a local TV station launched in May 2013, broadcasts to 315,000 households in Saint Quentin, in the Aisne department in Picardy. Its daily program, Dans Le Bus, features 40 minutes of interviews and footage with local personalities, business owners and the general public, produced from a Mercedes Sprinter, which travels around the city, filming constantly for five hours a day.

Remote Recording Network (RRN), Riedel Communications, TV Skyline, The Black Project, and 13 other partners collaborated in the production of a landmark virtual live event on Nov. 22-23 that brought together teams working remotely across four countries and three continents. Headed by Peter Brandt, CEO of RRN, the show represented the first-ever fully decentralized production of a live, global music event.

Monday, 4th February will see the official opening of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2019 in Åre with a ceremony in the Åre park located between Åre Torg (Åre Town Square) and Åre Station. The park will be transformed into an open-air stage – Medals Plaza – where the Championships visitors will be treated to the award ceremonies and a series of concerts in the course of the next two weeks.

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Åre 2019 concluded Sunday, 17 February, with the men’s slalom competition and the closing ceremony. To officially mark the end of the season’s highlight event in Åre, Sweden, the local organizing committee handed over the flag of the International Ski Federation (FIS) to the organizers of the 2021 World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
