United World Wrestling Selects Slomo.tv Video-refereeing

The international governing body for the sport of amateur wrestling, United World Wrestling (UWW) has selected slomo.tv as its technology partner for video-refereeing in all its matches. Based in Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland, UWW includes representatives from 176 national federations and its duties include overseeing wrestling at the Olympics. It presides over international competitions for various forms of wrestling, including Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling for men and women, as well as others.

The University of Central Lancashire has created a future-proof UHD-capable studio for improved teaching using Panasonic Professional Camera Systems. The £550,000 studio upgrade enabled the university to move from SD to UHD with the option of HDR, and a 12G workflow environment to reduce cable requirements, in a six week project carried out before the new academic year.

University of Alabama Presents Live Performance in Another Dimension

“The Realm” has certainly caught the eyes - behind polarized glasses - of audiences who experienced its April 20 debut at the University of Alabama. Dept. of Theatre and Dance faculty member John Virciglio created The Realm, a theatrical dance performance using stereoscopic 3D to create a virtual environment for live performers in real time. The 3-D elements came from 12 High End Systems DL.3 digital lighting fixtures, controlled with a Road Hog Full Boar. Mainlight Industries supplied The Realm with the DL.3 fixtures.
