Blackmagic Design today announced that IMAG projection for the 2018 X Factor live arena tour was produced with a PPU, built around an ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K with ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Panel. Live acquisition was delivered by an HD multicam set up which included the URSA Broadcast.

Komora has announced the sale of a HARMAN Studer Vista 5 M2 digital mixing console to Ukraine TV channel, 1+1. The station, which was founded in 1995, immediately became a major force in the Ukrainian TV industry, and since 2004 has been offering a round-the-clock broadcast schedule.

1+1 Media Group, one of the largest media holdings in Ukraine, has installed Calrec digital audio consoles in two of its HD outside broadcast (OB) vans. The installations are part of an upgrade to meet Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) technical requirements for 5.1 sound production and Dolby E encoding.

Ukrainian broadcaster STB Worldwide Television, based in Kiev, has chosen a Lawo mc²56 digital audio console for its newly-acquired OB vehicle. Developed in conjunction with integrator TVC Lithuania, the STB OBVAN features a 16+16C+16 frame console, offering 240 channels of DSP.

With the delivery of an Artemis Light audio console, Calrec has made its second sale to Ukraine system integrator and OB truck company Engineer Service. Engineer Service will install the Artemis Light console in its newest mobile OB truck to mix live audio in stereo and Dolby® E 5.1 broadcast formats, and for multichannel recording in live production.

Ukraine news TV channel Nash TV has purchased two 32-fader Artemis Light audio consoles for its Kiev-based 24/7 programming. Nash TV is a new customer and is a significant addition to Calrec’s success in the country.

Harris Corporation’s Selenio™ media convergence platform is helping Zeonbud launch its national DVB-T2 broadcast network in the Ukraine.  Harris’ Selenio is a turnkey DVB-T2 video headend solution for Zeonbud, which was awarded four DVB-T2 multiplex licenses to deliver 32 channels on a national or local basis.  The licenses will allow Zeonbud to operate digital terrestrial television (DTT) services to 95 percent of the country.

The Ukrainian TV and Radio Broadcasting network Ukraine updated their communications infrastructure to a new Artist digital matrix intercom system from Riedel Communications. Riedel, one of the leading manufacturers of intercom, fiber, audio and radio technology delivered a comprehensive intercom solution combing a wired Artist matrix intercom setup with a wireless Acrobat digital communications solution. The Ukrainian systems integrator Comtel was responsible for the installation.

After making just its third NAB appearance, StarTracker, the first automatic, real-time optical camera tracking system, has become a technology standard-bearer in the dynamic world of camera motion tracking. Developed by London-based Mo-Sys Engineering, 80 percent of virtual set providers had StarTracker in their NAB booths. In addition to the Mo-Sys NAB booth, the company’s technology was on display at: Blackmagic Design/Ultimatte, ChyronHego, Brainstorm, WASP3D, Zero Density and Ross Video.
