The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the International Ski Federation (FIS) announced today that they have signed a landmark agreement to broadcast key FIS Ski Flying Championships. The agreement includes the 2014 and 2016 FIS Ski Flying World Championships. The 2014 event will take place in Harrachov, Czech Republic whilst the event organizer for 2016 will be elected at the FIS Congress in 2012.

In addition, the company will be responsible for fulfilling certain servicing obligations to UEFA in respect of UEFA EURO 2012™ broadcast partners in selected European markets.

Arqiva has completed another season of distributing the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championships on behalf of British Eurosport. The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) today announced that the Asia/Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and Malaysia's Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting and Information Institute (IPPTAR) are joint recipients of the 2010 IABM Tom McGann Training Award. The ABU and IPPTAR are being recognized for a new series of training courses designed to prepare Asian broadcast engineers for the technical realities of today's complex broadcasting operations and to further develop skilled engineers to themselves become trainers.
