tpc chooses BFE's KSC CORE Control System for its All-IP SMPTE ST 2110 Technology Center
The object of the "Metechno" project is the realization of a new sports, news and technology center for the Swiss broadcast service provider tpc in Zurich. The technology center will provide technical and operational solutions for the entire production chain, from acquisition through studio and post-production to aggregation of the planned content. The project will implement innovative technologies including new workflows to enable future-oriented working methods. In addition, the technical infrastructure is designed in a way that all production areas can create their products independently of specific production formats. tpc pursues an "online first" strategy regarding content provision.

tpc selects Sony’s HDC-4300 Cameras and XVS Switchers for UHD ST2110 IP OBVan
Technology and production center switzerland ag (tpc) builds one of the first OB vans for IP-based UHD live production worldwide, choosing Sony’s HDC-4300 camera. The multimedia market leader and technical service provider for radio and TV in Switzerland purchased 21 HDC-4300 cameras. The cameras are already in use and were chosen for their reliability and the possibility of producing in 4K when needed.
tpc Switzerland Builds Agile Studio Center Around IP Infrastructure from Imagine Communications
Swiss production and broadcast company tpc, part of the major Swiss public media business SRG SSR, is building a news, sport and technology center in Zurich. This all-IP center, built around the SMPTE ST 2110 family of standards, will use the Selenio™ Network Processor (SNP) from Imagine Communications to provide advanced IP-to-IP video and audio processing, as well as conversion between legacy SDI feeds and equipment and the newly built IP infrastructure.

Robe played a major role in delivering another stunning lighting design for the Total Production International (TPi) Awards, produced by TPi Magazine, part of Mondiale Media, an annual event to honour some of the best creative and technical achievements in the world of live entertainment for the preceding 12 months. TPi Awards 2020 was staged on Monday 24th February at the Evolution venue in Battersea, central London, and was hosted by Russell Kane.
TRACAB Gen5 Provides Demo of Semi-Automated Offside Technology Developments to the Football World
ChyronHego’s TRACAB team in Sweden has achieved another important milestone in its latest developments towards a semi-automated offside technology, based upon the Emmy® Award-winning TRACAB Gen5 optical tracking system. At a June 22 video conference hosted by ChyronHego and attended by FIFA and its Working Group for Innovation Excellence, the TRACAB team presented a demonstration of powerful new capabilities in TRACAB OCT (Offside Calling Technology) (Story on FIFA Website). Exploiting its AI-driven ball tracking for automated ball pass detection, combined with limb tracking and skeletal modeling derived from video feeds, the technology is showing great promise to support referees in the future to make fast and highly accurate offside calling decisions.
Track and field coverage at IAAF WC in Beijing 2015 relies on Cobham systems
Cobham Tactical Communications and Surveillance and its Chinese business partner, CSS Group, provided Cobham’s Solo H.264 ENG TX transmitters, the new PRORXD HD receivers, and associated camera control systems on behalf of host broadcaster CCTV for track and field coverage of the IAAF World Championships in Beijing from 22 - 30 August 2015.

Every January, the world’s best cross-country skiers head to Saalbach Hinterglemm to tackle Austria’s biggest and toughest touring race. This year, 1,200 competitors from 24 countries took on the Mountain Attack challenge, a series of events including a marathon ‘vertical race’, with a course up and over three mountain summits across the Austrian Alps.
