Since 2008, Björn Olin, founder of Helifilm, has been using drones to capture content for film and television productions. Today, Olin’s company is recognized as the premier supplier of aerial footage in Scandinavia, offering services to national and international film teams and providing access to its extensive image bank of Scandinavian content. Helifilm also provides material for the region’s premier broadcasts, including Nobel Prize festivities and royal events. To record and monitor all of the aerial footage he captures, Olin relies on the PIX-E5 recording monitor from Video Devices.
To help with live production and 4K acquisition, global rental house VER added a number of new switchers from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand to its product portfolio. VER selected one Kayenne K-Frame and seven Karrera K-Frame S-series video production center switchers to expand its HD and 4K offerings.

French rental house, Video Plus, is the latest company to invest in EVS’ industry-leading UHD-4K live production technology, as it prepares to meet growing customer demand for UHD-4K production services. The deal, which was agreed at IBC2017 in Amsterdam, includes the purchase of multiple EVS XT4K live production servers, as well as XFile3 systems for file transfer and archiving.

Video Progetti had previously delivered two outside broadcast trucks to NVP, and has now been asked to consult on a third in response to the rapidly increasing demand for its services that NVP is experiencing.
Italian broadcast distributor and systems integrator Video Progetti has announced that OB7, the state-of-the-art outside broadcast van it has designed and built for production company L’Opera Broadcast Video Service, will see its first live action in the first week of September. It has been under construction since late Spring.
