The newly-built 70,000-seat Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban is one of ten premier venues (spread across nine cities) which hosts matches in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Located in KwaZulu Natal, and purpose-built on the site of the former Kings Park Stadium which was demolished in late 2006, it has been designed as a world-class, multi-purpose facility which will be used long after the World Cup has finished.

Nova TV, a commercial national television network in Croatia, and part of the CME Group (Central European Media Enterprises), has installed an SSL System T broadcast audio production environment into its new 27 tonne mobile production vehicle, HD OB VAN 3.

The latest System T broadcast platform release from Solid State Logic addresses many of the ongoing IP and security challenges within modern audio production. With expanded AoIP integration providing direct console routing control for ST2110-30 and AES67 streams, and a major embedded operating system upgrade, broadcasters can embrace remote production and increased IP expansion and connectivity with confidence.

 

Spanning 200 square meters, Shenzhen’s SZMG TV Network recently underwent a massive overhaul, significantly increasing the audio and mixing capabilities of its two studios. To keep up with the network’s popularity, contractor Anheng Li Company installed a HARMAN Studer OnAir 3000 digital console in each studio to boost audio quality and capacity. The consoles were supplied by HARMAN’s distributor Advanced Communication Equipment Co Ltd. (ACE).
