Broadcast Pix™ introduced Mica™, a new family of live video production systems that provide pristine HD and leadership integration at an unprecedented price point. Mica will be demonstrated for the first time at IBC2011, which runs 9-13 Sept. at the RAI Centre in Amsterdam (Stand 7.B20).

Broadcast Pix™ is launching its Live Production & Streaming Bundles, a promotion that packages its Granite™ and Slate™ video production systems with a ViewCast Niagara streaming media appliance and Yamaha audio mixer, today at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas, Nev. (Booth N2662). The bundles are priced from $16,490 and include software to control the audio and streaming from the Broadcast Pix system.

Broadcast Pix™ will unveil a 50Hz version of Granite™, its new native HD, 1080p-ready live video production system, at IBC2010 in Amsterdam, 10-14 September, 2010 (Booth 7.C21). The new flagship product line for Broadcast Pix, Granite combines a new HD switcher with a new HD server running the company’s innovative Fluent™ workflow software, enabling users to create compelling live HD video at a price point unmatched in the industry.

Broadcast Pix™ today announced it has joined the ASPEN Community, a collaborative effort of more than 30 broadcast industry leaders, to develop a robust transport format for video, audio, and associated metadata over IP networks. ASPEN, short for Adaptive Sample Picture ENcapsulation, is a standards-based, open format that moves uncompressed Ultra HD, 3G, HD, and SD signals over MPEG-2 transport streams (ISO/IEC 13818-1).

Broadcast Pix™ announced iPixPanel, its new software application that allows an Apple iPad to control any of its video production systems, is now available for download from Apple’s App Store.

Broadcast Pix™ announced PixPlay, a new software option that will allow any Broadcast Pix integrated production switcher to provide slow motion control to a Blackmagic Design HyperDeck or AJA Video Systems Ki Pro disk recorder.

Broadcast Pix will introduce BPswitch™ RX, a portable model in its popular line of integratedproduction switchers, at IBC2018 (Hall 7, Stand C06), which runs Sept. 14-18 at RAI Amsterdam. A self-contained unit complete with touchscreen display and integrated streaming to Facebook Live and other CDNs, BPswitch RX provides multi-camera production and high-end motion graphics for live production on location.

Broadcast Pix™ will introduce the newest model in the BPswitch integrated production switcher product family, BPswitch™ IX, at the 2019 NAB Show (Booth SL4210), which runs April 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nev. Designed for productions that rely on IP-based workflows and remote cameras, BPswitch IX features six network inputs that support NDI and RTSP sources.
 

Broadcast Pix™ announced today that Paul Lara has been named director of marketing. Lara has worked in the television industry for more than 25 years, including five years as producer and news director for KCEN-TV in Waco, Texas, and eight years in video production for Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Most recently, he spent 11 years marketing video products for NewTek.

Broadcast Pix™ announced today that Fred van Elk has been named director of sales for the Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EAME) region, effective Jan 1. He replaces David Hughes, who has retired.

Broadcast Pix™ announced two of its new products were recognized with awards from two industry magazines at the 2010 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev., last week. TV Technology gave one of its STAR Awards to Granite™, the company’s native HD, 1080p-ready live video production system, while Videography honored the iPixPanel application, which allows an Apple iPad to control any Slate video production system, with one of its Best of Show Vidy Awards.

Regional partners will showcase three new Broadcast Pix™ products at BroadcastAsia 2010 at the Singapore Expo in Singapore, 15-18 June. Systems integrator Gencom Technology Limited (Booth #7N3-01) will showcase Granite™, the new flagship line of live HD video production systems. Media Architects Pte. Ltd. (Booth 8E3-06) will highlight Slate Portable, which provides the productivity of a control room in a briefcase-sized package, and the iPixPanel application, which allows an Apple iPad to control any Broadcast Pix video production system.

Broadcast Pix™ today announced its expanded relationship with Gencom Technology, a global media technology solution provider and systems integrator. Through its partnership with Gencom in New Zealand and Singapore, Broadcast Pix has already garnered increased interest in the region’s sporting venues, government agencies, educational institutions, and broadcast applications. Now, Gencom is the Broadcast Pix dealer in Australia as well.
