Innovative 3D production company, Inition, used Anton/Bauer’s CINE VCLXâ and HyTRON 140â batteries to shoot the pilot for Deeble and Stone’s forthcoming 3D wildlife film, Distant Thunder.

A survey conducted on behalf of Trilogy Communications, a global provider of Intercom systems and Master Reference Generators amongst international distributors showed Middle Eastern and Eastern European distributors to be more bullish than many of their Western European counterparts about the current market for infrastructure products in the broadcast sector.

Giovanni Ballocca, digital television project manager at Sisvel Technology, will deliver a technical presentation of the company's 3D Tile Format at IBC's Connected World on the morning of September 11, 2011. Ballocca will describe the 3D Tile Format and discuss its use by the Italian broadcasters Quartarete and Citta' Digitali and by Astra through a satellite positioned at 19.2° Est.

Tektronix, the market leader in broadcast video test, monitoring and analysis solutions, has announced that the company will feature solutions specifically designed to further advance video quality monitoring for production, post-production and broadcast professionals at IBC 2011, 9 - 13 September, stand 8.C75 (Hall 8).

In July the Mobile Production Unit (MPE) belonging to ARD and ZDF, Germany’s nationwide public broadcasters, was put to good use at the FINA Swimming World Championships in Shanghai. Now the MPE is on its way to Korea, or, more precisely, to Daegu, where it will be used for broadcasting the IAAF World Championships in Athletics. Very much on board is technology from Lawo, providing excellent audio feeds from both super sports events.
