Stagelight AG of Switzerland has been celebrating the receipt of the very first Robert Juliat Merlin followspots to roll off the production line. Merlin is Robert Juliat’s new 2500W HMI sturdy followspot designed specifically for the touring market.

Merlin worked its magic on the Stagelight team at Lucerne’s Light and Sound show in October 2014, where they immediately placed an order for four of the 2500W HMI touring giants from Robert Juliat’s Swiss supplier, Electric Claudio Merlo.

Stagelight is a leading Dutch technical production and rental company headed by the charismatic Jacco van der Heijden, and one of a growing number of Dutch companies investing in Robe’s BMFL moving lights.

Dutch rental company Stagepoint has established a fine reputation in the pro audio sector since being established in 2006. In order to maintain its successful course, the Lienden-based enterprise has just invested in a state-of-the-art sound reinforcement system from Electro-Voice. Not only is the system suitable for the very largest venues; it also – as indicated by world-class references such as AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and the Live8 festival – enjoys a high status in the pro audio industry.

Responsible for the production of two highly anticipated concerts in one of the country’s most difficult audio environments, festival production specialist StagePro successfully conquered high elevation, harsh winds and zero humidity with a complete JBL VerTecâ line array solution for this year’s Rock Jam and Country Jam festivals, staged in Grand Junction, Colorado. With artists ranging from Alice Cooper and Cinderella to Keith Urban and Sawyer Brown, the events presented many of the nation’s top current touring acts.

Leading rental sound, lighting and staging production company StagePro (Ottawa, Kansas) provided the live sound reinforcement system for the LDI Awards Ceremony, held at the recent LDI trade show in Las Vegas. The Awards recognized excellence in a variety of categories related to the live design, events and staging industry, including lighting, audio and video. The audio system featured a comprehensive range of products from Harman Professional, highlighted by JBL’s subcompact VERTEC® line arrays.

At this year's Tonmeistertagung, the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP will show almost all their product lines, ranging from the compact ON AIR 24 self-op console to the large AURUS mixing-console system to the DELEC line of intercom and commentary systems. From a technical perspective, the MEDIAGROUP will focus on the integration of various systems – for example, the Dante™ interfacing between NEXUS, DELEC, or third-party products.

SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP SDN BHD, widely known as STAGETEC Asia uses the Broadcast Asia show for several celebrations. “We are proud to announce the 10th anniversary of STAGETEC Asia” states David Chan, CEO in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. “In the last ten years we supported the Southeast Asian and Pacific regions with our sophisticated digital audio and communication products. With the Media Academy we also incorporated a trainings centre for digital audio in broadcast and theatre”, Chan continued.

Stagetec Asia, a partner of the Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec, has installed two large CRESCENDO platinum systems at Formosa TV (FTV) in Taiwan. Each of the two consoles has 48 faders and is integrated into a NEXUS audio routing system with a STAR router and Base Devices. The package also includes a mobile NEXUS Base Device, which can be used as required. Five RMDQ boards in the networks allow for configurations with up to 500 audio channels. Even when using the maximum of 128 sum buses, there is sufficient processing power to provide plenty of audio channels and 96 kHz sampling rate operation.

The Winter X Games in Aspen, CO, Jan. 27-30 will be a more efficient contest, at least as far as the audio is concerned. ESPN will network the Games’ campus with Stagetec’s Nexus Star router cores and base devices, allowing data and audio transport on combinations of copper and fiber running analog, MADI, and AES digital signals.

“... I propose a toast to this building. May it stand firm forever!” These were the closing words of the master carpenter’s speech at the topping out ceremony for STAGETEC’s new building by the Spree river. The structural shell of the new extension was completed just in time to avoid the start of the cold winter season.

Early in July 2013, STAGETEC Entwicklungsgesellschaft (research and development company) from Berlin will celebrate their 20th anniversary. Supported by the Salzbrenner family as a strong partner, 13 graduate engineers founded the business as a form of employee-owned company. All of them are still active partners in the company today, responsible for the continuing innovation and performance of the company.

 The LA Coliseum, home of the 1932 and ’84 Olympics, took on a completely new look this past weekend to provide the setting for the ‘Big Air’ and ‘Moto’ events for ESPN’s 16th Summer X Games. To capture the sound of some death defying stunts, a large NEXUS network, a CRESCENDO and an AURUS console were used to provide the audio submix.

Malaysian broadcasting service provider MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd (Astro) has selected STAGETEC ON AIR 24 mixing desks to equip its Press Suite studios at its Bukit Jalil facility and Cyberjaya facilites.

SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP has been appointed as Official Supplier to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf to be broadcast by Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), German public TV.
