Stage Tec Appoints Distributor for Sweden
Stage Tec, the Berlin-based manufacturer of professional audio mixing consoles and routers, is pleased to announce the expansion of its distribution network in Northern Europe. Electric Audio, a Stockholm-based audio company, is now distributing Stage Tec products in Sweden. Jonas Skramstad founded Electric Audio in 2007. Electric Audio acts as a sales and service provider to the Swedish music scene and also undertakes installations. To date, Jonas Skramstad has successfully completed projects in 28 countries.
Stage Tec appoints Head of Software and Systems Development
Stage Tec, the Berlin manufacturer of professional audio mixing consoles and routers, has appointed long term employee Dirk Berar as Head of Software and Systems Development. In his new role, the Senior System Architect will coordinate and moderate software development. Dr. Helmut Jahne, Managing Director of Stage Tec, is well acquainted with Dirk Berar's skills: "This position requires somebody with expertise, somebody who is able to motivate a team and is highly customer-oriented.”

Shortly before the market launch at the end of June, Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec will present its brand new AVATUS IP console at InfoComm (booth 547) and Broadcast Asia (booth 4F2-08).
Stage Tec at ISE2017: NEXUS – The Versatile Routing System
Stage Tec, the Berlin-based developer and manufacturer of digital audio equipment, is presenting its versatile routing system NEXUS at the ISE for the first time. NEXUS distributes and converts audio and non-audio signals. The routing system is consistently decentralised. Networking is via duplex fibre-optic cables with variable SFP+ transceivers. NEXUS is operated via a graphical user interface, control by external systems is also possible thanks to open control protocols.
Stage Tec at Stage Set Scenery in Berlin
From June 18th to 20th Stage Set Scenery will take place for the third time in Berlin. At the international trade show for theatre, film and event technology, trade visitors can also find out about professional audio technology. In Hall 22, Stand 435, Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec will be presenting the AVATUS IP console and the CRESCENDO-T theatre console.
Stage Tec at the Hamburg Open
Stage Tec, the Berlin manufacturer of professional audio mixing consoles and routers, is attending the Hamburg Open for the first time. The industry event for broadcast and media equipment professionals is hosted by system integration company Hamburg MCI. On 19th January, Stage Tec is presenting the new capabilities that CRESCENDO platinum gains with Platinum DSP and a NEXUS audio network. The audio DSP unit multiplies the mixing console's processing power and enables resource intensive production formats such as 5.1 mixes with a total of 128 buses at 96 kHz.
Stage Tec Audio and Mixing over IP at ISE2017
Stage Tec, the Berlin-based developer and manufacturer of digital audio equipment, is presenting an IP-based console at the ISE which performs extensive control tasks – the ON AIR flex. ON AIR flex is freely configurable and adapts easily to suit individual requirements. The system consists of three components – audio processing, control elements and control logic. They are separated from each other and communicate via the standardised IP protocol EmBER+. By separating the control component, the mixing console logic becomes freely configurable and available to all. It is possible to define the entire mixing console configuration and to adapt ON AIR flex to any workflow.
Stage Tec audio technology for SBT Brazil
The Brazilian TV station SBT, headquartered in Sao Paulo, is currently having part of its technology renewed by the Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec. So far, three audio mixing consoles have been supplied: A 32-fader CRESCENDO platinum was installed in a P.A. studio for sound reinforcement. A second 24-fader CRESCENDO platinum mixes the music broadcasts and talk shows from this studio. The third console, an AURATUS with 24 faders, is connected to a variety of external devices that augment the mixes with special effects. The AURATUS used here was specially adapted to the needs of the customer. Stage Tec is well known for its ability to produce bespoke consoles. For SBT, a size-optimised version of AURATUS was designed to meet the spatial requirements.
Stage Tec AURATUS and NEXUS for the Bernama News Channel in Malaysia
Stagetec Asia, the Malaysian subsidiary of Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec, has completed a project for the TV station Bernama News Channel (BNC). Two AURATUS platinum and a NEXUS network with two Base Devices were installed at the BNC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. BNC broadcasts local and international news about politics, business, sports, entertainment and lifestyle 24 hours a day, and is part of the national Malaysian news agency Bernama.
Stage Tec AURUS platinum becomes new backbone at KBS Hall in South Korea
KBS Hall is located in Yeouido, Seoul in South Korea and is best known for hosting a variety of music and concerts performances by both Korean musicians and international guest. The concerts and shows are broadcast live and also recorded for later broadcast. The audio is managed from a control room at the rear of the hall.
Stage Tec AURUS platinum Mobile and Flexible in NEP's MusicOne Audio Truck
More and more artists want - and currently need - to live stream their concerts. In the Dutch market, a Music OB truck with high standards was not available until now. NEP has closed this gap with the MusicOne. The 12-meter long and very spacious truck is equipped with a soundproof sound control room, a production suite that can be converted into a video control room, and a roof terrace that can be used for stand-ups with the event as a backdrop or as a chill-out area. The mobile sound control room can be used anywhere in the world with a connection to NEP’s centralized production platform and is suitable for any formation and genre. Good acoustics are very important for the sound engineers' work, but space in a mobile truck is always a compromise.
Stage Tec AVATUS Software Release 1.12: Innovative two-user operation
Stage Tec, the Berlin-based manufacturer of professional audio technology, introduces interesting new features with the latest software release 1.12 for the AVATUS IP console. One of the most innovative new features is simultaneous operation of AVATUS with two sound engineers. The virtual division of a console, which can also consist of several physical buckets, is currently offered by no other console on the market. The division takes place in blocks of 12 control strips each, which make up one cassette.
Stage Tec AVATUS: Theatre Premiere at Mainz State Theatre
Theatres can only renew their equipment in the summer, during the weeks when they are dark. This year the Mainz State Theatre used the time to renovate its audio technology. The NEXUS network, which had been installed in the Small House since 1997 and in the Big House since 2001, was thoroughly modernised and partially renewed. Three CANTUS consoles, which originate from the first generation of digital mixing consoles from Stage Tec, were integrated into the audio network. For new mixing console technology, the choice fell on the latest console from the Berlin manufacturer: the IP-based AVATUS. One of the decisive factors was the modular concept of AVATUS, with which very individual console sizes and combinations can be assembled via Ethernet.
Stage Tec connects the Greek National Opera and the National Library of Greece
In cooperation with its Greek distribution partner Telmaco, Stage Tec has completed a fascinating project at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Greece. The Centre is a multi-purpose complex in Athens built for art, education and entertainment. It is home to the Greek National Opera House (GNO) and the National Library of Greece (NLG), surrounded by the 210.000m2 Stavros Niarchos Park.
Stage Tec converter digitizes historical Berlin Philharmonic recordings
The NEXUS XMIC+ A/D converter from the Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec has been used to digitize historical radio recordings of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. The recordings were made between 1939 and 1945 and conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler. The concerts were to be digitally sampled as faithfully as possible to the original in the highest audio quality and post-processed and remastered in 24-bit resolution.
