A Solid State Logic C100 HDS Digital Broadcast Console has been chosen to make classical music sing for the new Musik und Theater (MuTh) Concert Hall, the permanent home for the Vienna Boys’ Choir (VBC). The 400-seat facility is also home to many other institutions and hosts performances ranging from the Vienna Philharmonic to dance and jazz presentations. The C100 is used for front of house live sound mixing, DAW capture, post production and live-to-air broadcast/streaming. The choice of the C100 was based in part on purity of sound and SSL’s responsiveness to client needs.

Leading sports broadcaster SNY recently installed a Solid State Logic C100 HDS Digital Broadcast Console in the audio control room of its studios at Rockefeller Center West in Manhattan. The console is the audio backbone for the network, servicing all programs produced in its studios, which include New York Mets pre- and post-game shows, New York Jets post-game shows, Geico SportsNite and Daily News Live! to name a few. The C100 HDS is an upgrade from an older SSL C100 and, since being installed, the C100 HDS has worked flawlessly, providing the necessary processing redundancy to ensure constant performance for the network.

A Solid State Logic C100 HDS Digital Broadcast Console is running the audio plays for NFL Films, the organization that, since its formation in 1967, has set production style standards for contemporary sports presentations, receiving 112 Emmy Awards over the years for cinematography, writing, editing, sound, sports series and specials. Continuing its winning production style, NFL Films recently upgraded its shooting stage for HD production of its programs Inside the NFL, on Showtime; NFL Matchup, on ESPN; and Playbook and First on the Field, on  NFL Network. The C100 was chosen to make the change from analogue to digital audio workflow.

The Stamford Media Center, a wholly owned subsidiary of NBCUniversal, recently installed a Solid State Logic C100 HDS Digital Broadcast Console in its unique audio/video control room, replacing an analogue console. Used to handle the audio for The Jerry Springer Show, Maury, Trisha Goddard and The Steve Wilkos Show, the C100 HDS provides plenty of console power in a compact control room. SSL’s reputation for excellent service combined with an industry-standard user interface helped make the C100 HDS the perfect choice for this application.

Solid State Logic will showcase  the ‘C-Play’ Audio Playout System for C100 HDS and C10 HD Digital Broadcast Consoles at IBC 2011 (Hall 8. Stand D83). Demonstrating once again that SSL continues to lead the way with broadcast audio products that deliver streamlined workflow and outstanding value, the C-Play system embeds a fully featured dual player spot and music playout system into its digital broadcast console range. First announced at NAB, generating keen industry interest, C-Play joins SSL’s range of integrated Production Assistant features that include Dialogue Automix, 5.1 Upmix, DAW Control and Production Automation interfacing and is now available as part of the C100 HDS V4 and C10 HD V3 Software Upgrade release.

Solid State Logic will debut its new V4 Software for the industry standard C100 HDS Digital Broadcast Console at the 2011 NAB Show (Booth C3310). Demonstrating on-going development of the C100 HDS, the new V4 Software release offers new features and options that significantly increase capability, productivity and connectivity for the high-end broadcaster.

Solid State Logic featured its Live-Recorder system at IBC 2012. Live-Recorder is designed for situations where a robust and reliable high-channel-count Recorder/Player is required in a live performance environment.
