The sun-powered plane Solar Impulse 2 (Si2) landed in New York on Saturday, flying past the Statue of Liberty before landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport to complete the final leg across North America on its history-making journey around the world without using a drop of fuel.

Elation Lights World Humanitarian Day Concert at United Nations
Christien Methot served as lighting designer for the World Humanitarian Day Concert at the United Nations in August and used a number of Elation Professional and ADJ dynamic lighting fixtures to light the event. The concert, held August 19 at General Assembly Hall at the United Nations in New York City, starred American actor and singer Leslie Odom Jr., winner of the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Aaron Burr in the hit musical Hamilton.
500 SGM wash lights inaugurate the Elbphilharmonie concert hall
For the long-awaited inauguration of the Elbphilharmonie concert hall located on the harbour-side in Hamburg, a massive light and video setup was installed. It all culminated with a spectacular show in the evening of January 11. As a crucial part of this show, no less than 500 pcs. of P-5 and P-2 wash lights from SGM were applied.
NASA Counts On Teradek Cubes for Official Eclipse Show and It Was a HUGE Success
Aug 21, 2017 will forever be remembered by the masses as the Great American Eclipse. But for broadcasters, it will be remembered as one of the most impressive technological feats in live stream history!
On the eclipse broadcast, NASA achieved their largest single-day audience on nasa.gov ever totaling at 53.3 million, with 33 million on its Eclipse Live streaming page alone. Combined with NASA’s official eclipse website, traffic on both sites combined totaled at 85.9 million views! According to a NASA spokesperson, this was 7 times more traffic than the previous record held by New Horizon’s Pluto flyby. In short, this was by far the most successful broadcast operation ever accomplished by the space administration.
