Collegium Records Expands its NTP Technology DAD AX24
Cambridge-based Collegium Records has expanded its 16-channel NTP DAD AX24 system to 24 channels for the production of a new album celebrating some of the choral music heard on royal occasions during the lifetime of HM Elizabeth II. The recording, 'This is the Day: Music on royal occasions', includes a newly orchestrated version of John Rutter’s celebratory royal wedding anthem, written for the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

Victorian Opera Uses grandMA2 for “Cinderella”
Recently the Victorian Opera presented a new production of “Cinderella”, a traditional pantomime for the whole family. Based on the fable, Cinderella’s adventures were given a special treatment by Victorian Opera Music Director Richard Gill, who has written both the story and songs. This production saw pantomime return to the surrounds of Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne. Cinderella featured a stellar lineup of artists from Victorian Opera and the world of music theatre.

DPA 4006A Mics Bring High Level of Sound Recording to de Doelen Concert Hall
Broadcast Facilities Netherland has purchased two sets of factory-matched DPA 4006A omnidirectional microphones from Benelux distributor Amptec. The mics have been purchased for recordings in the 2,200-capacity Grand Hall of de Doelen in Rotterdam, mainly for broadcast sessions of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
