Originally from Canada, Jeremy Tusz was introduced to Pyramix during his time at McGill University, the Banff Centre, Tanglewood, and during a spell in Europe at Polyhymnia and Galaxy Studios. After returning to Canada and freelancing as an engineer/editor/producer on well over 100 albums, it soon became clear that if he had his own equipment, there were additional recording assignments that could be tackled.  Soon after the Merging Horus was introduced in 2012, Jeremy had the opportunity to try one on a session, and he liked what he heard. That led to him purchasing a Horus fitted with 32 input and 8 output channels and two laptops running Pyramix Native. As I/O demands increased for larger orchestral film score work and clients began asking for DXD/DSD capabilities, a Hapi was added along with a PT64 card (for interfacing with a Pro Tools HD Native system), 16 channels of Premium AD and 8 channels of Premium DA to “mix n match” according to the session requirements.

We’re offering a weekly program that includes guided tours of Ars Electronica exhibitions, excursions to the Ars Electronica Labs, visits to the Machine Learning Studio, concerts with real-time visualizations, Deep Space LIVE sessions, workshops with engineers, and talks with artists and scientists from all over the world. None of this will be pre-recorded, most of it will be interactive, and all of it will be LIVE. An initial two-week test phase is starting on Friday, May 1, 2020, with a concert from the Ars Electronica Center’s “Piano Room”: Maki Namekawa and Dennis Russell Davies will play Ma Mère L’Oye for piano four hands by Maurice Ravel, with Cori O’Lan contributing real-time visualizations. The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre (TMAC) is a lively and unique multipurpose performance space located in Taunton, Somerset, UK, and dedicated to staging an array of shows, events and activities for the whole community embracing music, dance, drama, comedy, spoken word and other genres. Just before the coronavirus pandemic temporarily halted the entire entertainment industry, TMAC took delivery of a brand new Zero 88 FLX lighting control console, complete with two wings, which was specified by technical manager Kevin Stratton

‘Lux Partum’ – ‘emission of light’ in Latin – was a beautifully sculpted interactive lighting installation and live stream staged at the Motorwerk event space in Berlin, created by lighting and show designer Chris Moylan and his team. This comprised Lars Murasch, Andreas Schindler, and Matthias Schöffmann together with acclaimed DJ and music producer Paul van Dyk who composed a special soundtrack and played a three-hour live concert during the first weekend.

Philip French of UK technical production company Peachy Productions has just relocated to Wiltshire after being based in the Surrey city of Guildford for 8 years, however, during the coronavirus crisis he is making the journey back twice a week to volunteer for the Surrey Drive Campaign … This is a locally-based crowd-funded initiative that delivers around 2,500 delicious and nutritious cooked meals – with locally sourced ingredients – each week for hardworking staff at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust hospital.
