Robe was the exclusive moving light fixture specified by lighting designer Avi Yona Beuno (Bambi) for the new production of Carmen at the 2012 Israeli Opera Festival, staged at the charismatic location of the foot of Masada Mountain by Israel’s Dead Sea.

Robe is supporting UK based Light Artist and Creative Director of Dark Art London, Simon Brockwell at the 2014 Vivid Festival of Music, Light & Ideas in Sydney, Australia, in the realisation of his bold and innovative light sculpture, ‘Sky Flower’.

Robe moving lights were right at the heart of the lighting action on the main stage in front of Berlin’s historic Brandenburg Gate, one of the largest public New Year’s Eve celebrations worldwide.

This year, Robe was already involved in some of the highest high profile New Year’s shows around the world  including Berlin, Las Vegas and New York … and once again its moving lights were right at the centre of the action for Chinese New Year celebrations in London’s Trafalgar Square, featuring an afternoon of onstage entertainment culminating in a massive son et lumière extravaganza finale show to welcome the Year of the Horse.

Robe UK followed the current Covid-19 instructions to “stay local”, teaming up with Northampton School for Boys (NSB), the University of Northampton and DroneSwarm based nearby in Daventry to support #LightItInRed’s most recent campaign to unite the UK live events, entertainment, performance, and production industry in solidarity during these challenging times.  

The call was to light buildings, structures, places, and spaces in red throughout the week of March.

Sony announces three finalists for the ‘Sony Impact Award for Current Affairs’ category at this year’s Rory Peck Awards: Martin Boudot and Mathias Denizo for their film ‘Paraguay: Poisoned Fields’; Matthew Cassel for ‘The Missing’; and Rodrigo Vázquez for ‘Frontline Nicaragua’. The Rory Peck Trust helps to safeguard and strengthen independent journalism by providing practical and financial support to freelance journalists and their families worldwide. 

Last night at the Rory Peck Awards 2019, Sony presented Martin Boudot and Mathias Denizo with the ‘Sony Impact Award for Current Affairs’ for their film ‘Paraguay: Poisoned Fields’. This award recognises the work of freelance camera operators who examine an issue, story or situation which has an impact on viewers, policies, or public awareness.

CCTV, China’s national broadcaster, has an incredible reach of just over one Billion viewers, and one of its most widely-watched programs is the network’s coverage of the annual Spring Festival Gala, a song and dance variety spectacular that is broadcast on Chinese New Year’s Eve. Known in China as ‘春晚’, the show has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s most watched TV program and is regarded by many Chinese families as an integral part of their New Year celebrations. 

Ross Video provided an XPression Real Time Motion Graphics System and personnel in support of the 30th Annual CHEO Telethon on CTV Ottawa. Held at Ernst & Young Centre in Ottawa’s South end, the 24hour telethon raised $6, 749, 150 for The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall (RAH) venue purchased 17 x Robe BMFL Spot moving lights in February which have been used on a myriad of shows and events in the last few months including Space Spectacular, a co-promotion between the RAH and Raymond Gubbay Ltd., featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) conducted by Anthony Inglis playing a series of space-orientated works.
