There are two components to Vivid Light. The first is the Light Walk, which is the publicinterface of Vivid Sydney. This includes numerous light installations by artists. Secondly, also forming part of the Light Walk, are projections onto some of Sydney’s most iconic buildings including the Museum of Contemporary Art and Customs House. Country music superstars Alan Jackson and Merle Haggard, as well as bluegrass icons Dr. Ralph Stanley and Ricky Skaggs, were among the 130 acts over four days in late April whose tunes wafted pristinely from MerleFest 2014. As has been the case for the past 26 years, DiGiCo consoles processed much of the music emanating from the Wilkesboro, NC festival’s 13 stages, helping to cement MerleFest’s reputation as a highly celebrated perennial American music event.

Award winning lighting designer Andy Bridge has utilised a range of Philips Vari-Lite luminaires, including VL3000Q Spot, VL3500Q Spot, and VL3500 Wash luminaires, to create his sumptuous lighting design for Italian classic La Bohème at London's Royal Albert Hall (RAH). The show, which was staged in the round, presented some challenges in terms of lighting design.

Bel Monitors Chosen for Live Streaming ‘First’ in India

Doordarshan (DD), India's largest broadcaster, chose UK manufacturer Bel Digital Audio’s latest range of 16 channel audio/video monitors for monitoring and de-embedding purposes during India's first live streaming of the Republic Day parade. As part of a larger package from Bel, a BM-AV2-16SHD was installed in an outside broadcast vehicle and monitored the high definition signals before transmission.
