Anthony Bastic, Vivid Light Festival Directorsaid: “Vivid Sydney is a unique celebration of light, music and ideas that will see the centre of New South Wales’ vibrant capital transformed by a series of state-of-the-art visual and creative art installations. There are two components to Vivid Light. The first is the Light Walk, which is the publicinterface of Vivid Sydney. This includes numerous light installations by artists. Secondly, also forming part of the Light Walk, are projections onto some of Sydney’s most iconic buildings including the Museum of Contemporary Art and Customs House. We are thrilled to work with TDC in bringing the artists’ vision to light.”

Robe is supporting UK based Light Artist and Creative Director of Dark Art London, Simon Brockwell at the 2014 Vivid Festival of Music, Light & Ideas in Sydney, Australia, in the realisation of his bold and innovative light sculpture, ‘Sky Flower’.

One of Vuyani Dance Company’s 2014 dance experiences took the form of an “out-of-this-world” dance piece called Full Moon at the Mandela stage at the Joburg Theatre, Johannesburg. Inspired by the mysteries of the universe, this dreamlike piece claims to take audiences “on an epic journey into the celestial realm and back to earth, riding the mysterious carpet of the time-space continuum in a magical flight of the imagination.”

Country music superstars Alan Jackson and Merle Haggard, as well as bluegrass icons Dr. Ralph Stanley and Ricky Skaggs, were among the 130 acts over four days in late April whose tunes wafted pristinely from MerleFest 2014. As has been the case for the past 26 years, DiGiCo consoles processed much of the music emanating from the Wilkesboro, NC festival’s 13 stages, helping to cement MerleFest’s reputation as a highly celebrated perennial American music event.

Celebrating 30 Years in the industry, Band Pro Film & Digital, Inc. will present a free screening of Samsara on Friday June 6th at 3:00 p.m. in the Paramount Theater at Cine Gear LA 2014.  Presented in 4K projection, as it was meant to be seen, Samsara (directed by Ron Fricke) is a visually stunning film that truly shows the full capabilities of 4K.

I don’t bother watching vampire, werewolf or zombie TV shows because they’re myths, folklore passed down for generations. I do watch alien shows because everyone knows those suckas are real! And I watch them on my TV OTT (over the top) because it’s real.

2014's Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) at the Royal Albert Hall has yet again seen a string of hugely successful performances given by some of the world's most popular concert touring artists including Ed Sheeran, The Cure, Suede and Paolo Nutini along with an evening of comedy hosted by Jason Manford. As has been the case for many years Production Resource Group (PRG) provided a skilled team of expert crew along with a comprehensive lighting and rigging package.

Award winning lighting designer Andy Bridge has utilised a range of Philips Vari-Lite luminaires, including VL3000Q Spot, VL3500Q Spot, and VL3500 Wash luminaires, to create his sumptuous lighting design for Italian classic La Bohème at London's Royal Albert Hall (RAH). The show, which was staged in the round, presented some challenges in terms of lighting design.

SGM LT-100 and LT-200 LED pixel tubes were deployed in an unusual context, when London Contemporary Voices (LCV), one of London’s leading non-traditional choirs, staged its Reflections concert at the 18th century Church of St. John-at-Hackney in London.

Doordarshan (DD), India's largest broadcaster, chose UK manufacturer Bel Digital Audio’s latest range of 16 channel audio/video monitors for monitoring and de-embedding purposes during India's first live streaming of the Republic Day parade. As part of a larger package from Bel, a BM-AV2-16SHD was installed in an outside broadcast vehicle and monitored the high definition signals before transmission.

Robe Lighting is very proud to be working with London’s world-famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), supplying technical equipment and resources. The arrangement was driven by Josef Valchar Robe s.r.o.’s CEO, Ashley Lewis, Robe UK’s Key Account Manager for Film, TV & Theatre and  Matt Prentice, Head of Lighting at RADA.

Nick Gray of London based creative lighting and visual design practice Renegade produced a raw and uncompromising lighting installation in the Turbine Hall of the world-famous Tate Modern art gallery in London for brand and live communications agency Mission, who were celebrating their tenth anniversary with a special event.

The 55th edition of the world famous Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile was staged in the city of the same name in the Valparaíso region of Chile, with 48 of Robe’s ROBIN Pointes onstage at the Quinta Vergara’s amphitheatre.

Robe teamed up with top Lighting Designer / Director Dave ‘Bickie’ Lee to make the latest moving light technology available for ‘The Concert Lighting Project’, a practical module being taken by students on the BA (Hons) Lighting Design course at leading UK theatre and performance college, Rose Bruford.

Almost 100 Robe moving lights were utilised by rental company Luzbel Iluminação for the Main Stage of the 16th Festival de Verão (Summer Festival) in Salvador, the capital of Bahia, Brazil.
