Vislink Technologies Unveils Integrated 4K Wireless Camera Transmitter for Sony's New Multi-Format Live Camera System
Vislink Technologies (Nasdaq:VISL) introduces its INCAM-HS integrated wireless camera transmitter, which is built into Sony’s new HDC-5500 4K multi-format live camera system. Vislink Technologies’ INCAM-HS provides full HEVC 4K UHD broadcast-quality encoding as well as 1080p, 1080i and 720p resolutions, plus built-in wireless camera control and HDR support. This solution is on display at the 2019 NAB Show (Vislink Booth C6008, Sony Electronics Booth C11001).

Swiss production and broadcast company tpc, part of the major Swiss public media business SRG SSR, is building a news, sport and technology center in Zurich. Italian public broadcaster RAI will start broadcasting 8K content in 2020, starting with the Tokyo Olympics, making it the first broadcaster in Europe to use the technology. A preview of the broadcaster’s plans was made at a conference in Rome, during which several examples of productions in 4K and 8K were presented to the public.
