1+1 Media Group is one of the largest media conglomerates in Ukraine. The vision of the group is to create content that changes the way people perceive the world and themselves. After launching 1+1 International in 2006 (see section below), which is aimed at the Ukrainian diaspora, the group will start its first attempt at gaining part of the international TV market by launching Ukraine Today. Ukraine Today is the first Ukrainian non-stop news channel. Launched in August 2014, it offers a complete, unbiased view of current events happening in Ukraine, in Eastern Europe and Post-Soviet states. The production company not only covers in-house needs, but also works with external customers and operates two HD OBVan.

TNDV Provides Turnkey Mobile Production for Debut of Skyville Live Music Series
Mobile production specialist TNDV lent its video and audio expertise to the debut of Skyville Live, a new monthly music series streamed exclusively online to audiences worldwide from Skyville Live studios located the heart of Nashville. The series provides music lovers with an unprecedented live music series, bringing together today's hottest stars in a unique and interactive way in front of an intimate audience—usually around 100 attendees. Beyond bringing its Elevation truck to the event, TNDV provided crewing and streaming services for the premiere event, which featured performances from Gladys Knight, Martina McBride and R&B artist Estelle. TNDV’s turnkey services incorporated a significant, interactive social media element to the program, using Renewed Vision’s Pro Presenter 5 software to generate a real-time administered Twitter feed in full-screen and lower-third formats.

Sky Sports in Pole Position to Use Gearhouse’s new OBPod for its F1™ Coverage
The concept for the new OBPod is an enhancement of the flyaway pod that Gearhouse Broadcast successfully supplied to Sky Sports for the past three F1™ seasons. Lighter, easier to ship and quicker to rig, OBPod has been built using the standard air freight AMP rectangular container footprint, enabling Sky Sports to transport it around the world – circuit to circuit – with ease and at a lower cost. For the first time, Gearhouse will also be supplying the post production infrastructure to Sky Sports for its F1™ coverage. This includes four EVS XT3 ingest, playout and replay servers, and Adobe Premier Pro CC linked to a 500TB Dell SAS Raid storage system on a 10Gb fibre network.

ERR Estonia Use RT Software and Stype Grip
Going on air during the run up to Christmas 2014, ERR’s concept was to bring discussions to life by inserting virtual scenes into the real studio. As presenters discuss a topic, the camera pans to show a real scene relevant to the discussion as if they are part of an infinitely extended studio. RT Creative provided two scenes in response to ERR’s brief, a sunny Beach Scene with rolling waves and a wintry Forest Scene complete with falling snowflakes and a beautifully lit village in the distance. StypeGRIP provided the camera tracking data via one of their kits fitted to a Jimmy Jib, allowing good freedom of movement of the studio camera around the virtual graphics.

Azteca Expands Use of Viz Virtual Studio For Cost-Effective And Flexible Studio Production
Following its successful creation and use of captivating Vizrt graphics and VR technology on-air during TV Azteca’s 2014 World Cup coverage this past summer, the international multimedia company recently installed a new five-camera VR studio to produce advanced virtual sets and augmented reality effects for its wide variety of sports and entertainment programs. The new studio is equipped with the latest version of Viz Virtual Studio, Vizrt’s virtual set control software, three fixed VR tripods (Shotoku), a free-roam VR pedestal camera, and a VR tracking adapter kit (Stype Grip) on a Jimmy Jib crane. Each camera feeds tracking data to Viz Virtual Studio tracking server and delivers tracking data to Viz Engines to enable real-time rendering and compositing system.

Sennheiser Supports Lily Allen Sheezus Tour
Having appeared at some of the UK’s favourite festivals during the summer, Lily Allen took to the road at the end of November for a two month UK tour, which culminated at the Edinburgh Hogmanay celebrations on the 31st of December. Sennheiser microphones and in-ear monitors, provided by Skan Audio, sound company for the tour, are with her every step of the way. Both Front of House engineer Shan Hira and monitor engineer Francoise Le Moignan have worked with Lily since her 2009 It’s Not Me, it’s You tour, where they first specified Sennheiser mics and in-ear monitors.

Creative Process and Lighting Design for Kylie Minogue’s Kiss Me Once Tour
Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue recently completed the first leg of her Kiss Me Once tour, which included stops throughout Europe. The second leg of the tour begins in March 2015 with five shows in Kylie’s native Australia. Following the successful tour of Europe, Lighting Designer Rob Sinclair and Lighting Director Louisa Smurthwaite provided insight into the creative processes behind the tour’s extensive lighting design, which prominently featured fixtures from HARMAN’s Martin Professional. About a month before rehearsals, the music arrived and Sinclair began working on the lighting design, creating a series of detailed notes.
