Volvo Ocean Race - Team Brunel Conquers Leg 2
Bouwe Bekking (NED) and Team Brunel took victory ahead of the Dongfeng Race Team (Charles Caudrelier / FRA) in an incident-packed Leg 2 of the Volvo Ocean Race. Ian Walker (GBR) and his Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing crew finished third. Team Brunel (Bekking) found a very timely change of gear to sweep past Dongfeng Race Team and edge to a 16-minute victory in Leg 2 of the Volvo Ocean Race on Saturday. The Dutch campaigner, competing in a record-equalling seventh race, looked likely to have lost out in a thrilling sprint to the finish in the 5,200 nautical mile second stage with some five hours to go. Suddenly, Team Brunel found an extra surge of wind pressure to sweep past Charles Caudrelier’s (FRA) men even though the boats were only a couple of hundred metres apart and before long they were a mile clear.

RTS Secures Communications for Miley Cyrus Shows
To capture these performances for posterity, two complete shows were recorded in HD resolution. It is planned to release the highlights of the two concerts on DVD. Against this background, there could be no doubts as to the magnitude of the demands placed on the production crew: everything was expected to run like clockwork and video and sound of the highest possible quality delivered. To guarantee that this was the case, the Dutch broadcasting specialists United were entrusted with the production. “We remained several days with the tour,” records Bolke Burnaby Lautier, Manager Operations with United, “initially in Barcelona and two days later in Lisbon.” And in both cities, one of the world’s most successful broadcast service provider deployed the flagship of its outside broadcasting fleet: the HD-capable OB14.
