Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and under the Patronage of the International Olympic Committee, SPORTELMonaco is the world’s only international Convention which gathers, during 4 days in Monaco, the main actors and personalities from the world of Sport and Television within its diverse program.

The International Sports Program Market for Television and New Media, is universally recognized as the one indispensable, must-attend international Market for companies involved with any aspect of sports programming and sports content across all distribution platforms. Every October, high-level sports executives gather for 4 days of networking, deal-making, learning about new industry trends, forging new alliances… In 2009, 2 247 participants representing 938 companies from 68 countries attended SPORTELMonaco.

The International Symposium, The Press-Events, The SPORTEL Football WorkshopTM … various conferences give an update, and look at the perspectives of the relationships between Sports, TV and New Media. They will emphasize on the evolution of New Technologies in Sports TV program broadcast.

The Georges Bertellotti GOLDEN PODIUM AWARDS Ceremony highlights each year the best international TV sports images and slow-motion sequences. The Jury for the Golden Podium Awards, presided in 2009 by Jean Todt revealed the 2009 winners during Awards Ceremony in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and numerous sports personalities : Philippe Lucas, Laure Manaudou, Frédérick Bousquet, Alain Bernard, Nikola Karabatic, Tatiana Golovin, Romain Mesnil, Guy Lacombe, Ari Vatanen...

• The Prize for the Best Illustrated Sports Book rewards 2 books that best convey through their originality as well as their rich and remarkable illustrations, the emotion created by sports. This Prize is sponsored by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee and the Monaco Olympic Committee.
