Overon covers Spain’s win at the World Cup in South Africa

The capital celebrates the country's first World Cup

Overon, which has provided coverage of the Football World Cup from 9 different sites, supplied more than 200 broadcast services over the weekend for more than 30 TV networks, including: laSexta, Antena 3, Cuatro, TV3, ETB, RAI, RTP, CNN Atlanta, France 3, etc.

A team of 44 staff with a host of technical equipment including 18 DSNG’s as well as a teleport, were shipped to South Africa to provide play-out services and segment facilities in Betacam, SX/SP, DVCPRO, DVCAM, MINIDV; live link-ups and spatial segments, ENG (PAL), Coordination and IFB services. Sunday, the day of the final, saw the company provide 137 broadcast services.

The company also provided services for the team’s welcome home with 8 stations and 12 cameras in Madrid

Overon also provided services in Madrid for a host of TV networks covering the welcome home of the Spanish team with 8 stations and 12 cameras from a variety of different points around the Spanish capital: from the terminal 1 building at Barajas Airport (two stations and three cameras); the Hotel Barajas Melià, the Spanish team base (1 station and three cameras); the Royal Palace (1 station and 1 RF); The Moncloa (1 station); the Puente del Rey esplanade, where the players’ and technical staff’s victory procession ended.
