MEDIAPRO success as Host Broadcaster for Spanish F1 Grand Prix

TV Compound and MCR at Montemelo Race Track

MEDIAPRO worked alongside Formula One Management (FOM) to produce the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix, which took place last weekend at the Montmeló track outside Barcelona, and provided signal distribution services for a host of TV networks round the world.

As official Host Broadcaster, it provided services to a variety of international networks covering the event from Montmeló such as: UK (BBC Sport), Italy (RAI TV, RTI), Austria (ORF TV), Belgium (RTBF), Finland (MTV3), France and Monaco (TF1 / Eurosport France), Germany (ARD TV, SKY Germany, RTL TV, ZDF), Russia (RTR), Sweden, Norway and Denmark (Viasat), Switzerland (SRG – DRS, TSI, TSR), Asia (ESPN Star Sports), China (China CTV), Japan (Fuji TV), Middle East (Abhu Dabi Sports), South America (Fox Sports), Brazil (TV Globo), the USA (Speed Channel), and Australia (Network Ten) as well as the Spanish broadcaters: laSexta, TV3, IB3 and TPA.

A 30-man MEDIAPRO group team was in charge of the technical assistance for the TV Compound, managing the work of the mobile units and the 30 commentary positions as well as the setting up of the play-out room which was equipped to provide all the services for the coverage of the F1 race.

The event signal was distributed around the world. MEDIAPRO will once again be the Host Broadcaster for the European Gran Prix, which takes place from 25th to 27th June at the Circuit de València.
