Intersport Gets on Board as Main Sponsor of Vierschanzentournee

Infront secures a comeback for the world's leading sports retailer to the winter sports highlight

Intersport, the  world's largest sports retailer, is to become the Main Sponsor of the Vierschanzentournee ski jumping series for the 2013/14 season starting from this year’s event kick off in Oberstdorf, Germany on 28 December. The sponsorship agreement was brokered by Infront Sports & Media, the official marketing partner of the German and Austrian Ski Federation (DSV and ÖSV) for the Vierschanzentournee. Following Intersport’s commitment, the event series’ sponsorship is sold out for this year.

With retail sales of EUR 10.2 billion and more than 5,400 affiliated stores in 42 countries, Intersport is the clear market leader in the sporting goods retail market. For more than 25 years, the group was the main sponsor and naming rights holder of the “Intersport Springertournee”, which was renamed Vierschanzentournee in 1995. Under the new main sponsorship package Intersport is to receive an advertising presence across all events.
