Innovative Technologies at SportsInnovation 2018 by LMC

One hot technology will be the IntelliJib, developed by market-leader PoleCam from the UK and available through LMC in Germany. The IntelliJib is a fully remote-controlled miniature crane paired with the Antelope PICO Ultra Slow Motion Camera. The system supplies stunning live-shots as well as action replays with up to 350 frames per second in HD1080 plus completely new movements as "flying through the net", "flying inside the goal" and dynamic multi-axis movements with smooth start/stop. The extremely compact base offers the possibility to mount the system when only limited space is available. The IntelliJib is connected by just one SMPTE Fibre Cable and can therefore be used in multiple pre-cabled positions at multi-sports events or when different angles are required.

Another brand new technology being presented is the Antelope COMPACT AIR – a unique wireless handheld camera system with both live- and replay capabilities. The light camera system is fully paintable from the OB truck. Replays are captured with up to 350 frames per second in HD1080 - all this will be done from the truck.

Alike the PICO de-flickering is available in real time. The COMPACT AIR takes all B4 lenses, integration into the broadcast environment is intuitive and the light weight gives maximum freedom for the camera operator to concentrate on what is important - find emotional, thrilling and beautiful action - shoot it and then enhance the broadcast with those live pictures as well as stunning replays.

Some other products include a new series of POV cameras out of the Antelope camera family. The Antelope ULTRA 4K, the new version of the Antelope PICO Ultramotion and the Antelope NANO which next to the FEMTO is one of the smallest Broadcast POV cameras. The portfolio is complemented with the latest version of the COLIBRI Deflicker which is available for all SuperSlomo, HighFramerate and Ultramotion cameras from all different manufacturers.
