Helicopter flies camera platforms to Kandahar

27 tons were lifted up to the race tracks

The construction work at the Kandahar race track is getting up to speed. For the first race of the World Championships, the Ladies' Super G on February 8th, all preparations are exactly on schedule. A helicopter has now brought all the platforms for the cameras and trainers to the track.

In total, the helicopter transported 35 camera and trainer platforms - just under 27 tons of material - to Kandahar. Those areas not accessible by roads were approached by helicopter. The World Championships will be starting on February 8th with the Ladies' Super G. A race that the German ski fans should not miss, considering that local hero Maria Riesch belongs to the favorites for a medal in this first competition.
