Mediatec is happy to enhance sporting moments to the TV audience

The 48th FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2011, takes place at Holmenkollen in Oslo 23rd February to the 6th March. It´s the fifth time in history Norway have organized the event. Twenty one Cross-Country, Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping events will be held over two weeks proving the biggest sporting event in Norway for many years.

Mediatec provides five Mobile LED screens in Holmenkollen, our largest screen, the 88sqm, two 50sqm screens and two 12sqm screens. In addition to the international broadcast production we also supply an 8-camera production to give the spectators their best experience ever.

Mediatec will also provide components for the internal communication at the ski stadium.

The prize ceremonies will take place in Oslo city centre. For the celebrations, Mediatec will supply a 100sqm transparent effect screen for the main stage and two 30sqm IMAG side screens. In front Norwegian Parliament Stortinget, a 50sqm Mobile LED screen will be positioned for the public downtown.

Mediatec is also present with a Wirecam. The Wirecam extends almost 300 meter from the medal plaza across the famous Karl Johans Street where it is not unusual to see thousands of enthusiastic people gather for the evening ceremonies. Each end of the wires is supported by giant mobile cranes making it possible to set up the Wirecam at almost any location, as long as you have a parking permit.

During the week we have seen the Wirecam catching magic moments in stunning pictures when gold medalists, beaming with joy from the crowd support, express their happiness.

As a supplement for the NRK host production the 280 meters wirecam give the TV viewers a nice shot over the downtown area. At the TV Compound Mediatec Broadcast is supplying OB-trucks with a total of 20 cameras.

Mediatec is proud to be a part of the largest sport event in Norway for many years.
