Federer 'Awsome' Down Under in HD

Gigawave Down Under

An 'awsome' Roger Federer marched his way into the quarter-finals of the 2010 Australian Open with a thumping straight sets win over Lleyton Hewitt. He will face Nikolay Davydenko in the quarter finals.

Five Gigawave HD radio cameras

Equally 'awsome' was the live coverage of this year's Open, for those lucky enough to be viewing the tournament in HD.

Seven Sport, the host broadcaster for the Australian Open, is using five Gigawave HD radio cameras operating in total (including a 'beauty cam') plus five Gigawave MVL-HD2 high speed HD OB links. Three of the MVL-HD2s were supplied by BnC, an Australian facilities company, with the other two being supplied by Seven Sport.
