Online viewing of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games has surpassed all expectations. In total, over 12 million hours of viewing time was logged by EBU Member broadcasters' internet sites and the EBU aggregated live video portal www.eurovisionsports.tv.

14 million video streams via 38 channels

The EBU and its Members are committed to innovating to ensure the widest possible pan-European coverage of all Olympic sports across all platforms from traditional linear television to interactive television services, broadband internet and mobile devices.

* The EBU video portal alone enabled 14 million video streams to be viewed via its 38 channels, a total of 2 million hours.

* EBU Member broadcasters made available some 6,200 hours of live content on the EBU portal.

* Average visit time on the video portal is 38 minutes per viewer (30 minutes for Beijing 2008) with each viewer watching an average of five different live streams each visit.
