Digital sport market leader deltatre today announces its involvement in the coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament. With a comprehensive set of digital, media and broadcast services as well as on-venue operations, deltatre will be working from Brazil as well as from its headquarters in Turin to enable the most advanced coverage of the tournament, which kicks-off on June 12.

In addition to the redesign and development of the Federation’s primary digital communication property, www.fifa.com/worldcup, deltatre is also providing the football’s governing body with Results System and TV Graphics services for the live coverage of all matches for audiences around the globe. Furthermore, a bespoke version of deltatre’s pioneering digital video player Diva has been created to deliver the most sophisticated and powerful digital video coverage to more than 10 rights-holding broadcasters worldwide.

Almost 100 deltatre sports specialists and technicians are currently settled in the 12 Brazilian cities, including: 48 on-venue operators alternating in each stadium, six specialists at the International Broadcast Centre in Rio de Janeiro supporting international TV channels, and a team of 20 people executing services from the Operations Center (OPC) in deltatre’s Turin headquarters.

”Our staff arrived in Brazil more than a month before the official start of the games to set-up each environment, run test games, check all operational and technical aspects before the actual airing of the first match on June 12,” explains Mauro Pallisco, deltatre's Director of World Football.
