Daktronics and AJT Systems Expanding SportAppTM 3 to Support Baseball

Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, is expanding the SportAppTM 3 to support the sport of baseball from the company’s AJT Systems division which focuses on intuitive control functionality for live event productions. This release comes on the heels of SportApp 3 being released for basketball, football, hockey and soccer last fall.

The SportApp suite allows graphics playout control with connections to data feeds from various scoreboard controllers to assist broadcast operators with accurate information and graphics for the sport or league being aired. SportApp 3 offers a new touch interface along with quick action buttons and dual channel NDI and SDI.

“Enhancing our SportApp offering with this upgraded version brings greater functionality to the fingertips of broadcast producers,” said Ron Linares, manager of AJT Systems division at Daktronics. “The SportApp workflow has been well received. The SportApp 3 upgrade builds on that success and delivers on our next vision for graphics playout with simplified workflow. We are very excited to roll this version out across our customer base for baseball while introducing new customers to SportApp 3.”

For in-game statistics, several types of data connections allow for the generation of in-game statistic graphics quickly and easily. Operators can build different layouts for statistics ahead of the game and push them over the air in seconds. Through a refresh button, any prebuilt stats will always be using the latest information before taking them to the air.
