Sales Channel Experts EMEA Gateway to Exhibit at IBC 2010

Fledgling company to showcase latest additions to technology line up in Amsterdam

EMEA Gateway, a leading specialist in the provision of sales and marketing channels across Europe, Middle East and Africa, will have its inaugural exhibition at IBC 2010 – stand no. 7.G12 (RAI Exhibition Centre, Amsterdam, 10-14th September 2010). This newly formed company will be showcasing a range of innovative products including the latest storage solutions from Archion Technologies and digital signage and instant replay products from Tightrope Media Systems.

Designed with the needs of the post-production and graphic design communities in mind, Archion Technologies is leading the way in storage intelligence and solutions for cross-platform, shared media workflows. In fact the company’s high-performance, robust storage technology has been critical to the success of hundreds of TV and feature film projects.

Ranging from completely integrated, full-featured storage area network (SAN) solutions to highly compatible, uniquely intelligent, add-on RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), storage systems for other popular file systems, such as Avid Unity, Archion's systems have been integrated with the full range of popular content creation tools in Avid, Apple, Adobe, Autodesk, Digital Vision and Pro Tools environments. All Archion storage solutions are powered by the award-winning Vdisk™ technology for a more flexible and scalable experience.

“We chose EMEA Gateway as our partner to support the sales drive for our storage solutions across EMEA as they are a respected business with strong links to both the end users and the expansive sales channels in the region. Their appointment will allow us to cost-effectively implement a route to market and deliver tangible sales results for Archion across this diverse territory,” said Dan Stern, Executive Vice President of Sales at Archion Technologies. “IBC will provide the springboard from which to launch our business regionally and we are very excited about the prospect of extending our storage offering into new and emerging markets.”

Another broadcast manufacturer that has selected EMEA Gateway as its partner to access the EMEA region is Tightrope Media Systems. This company offers a breadth of products for the professional broadcast and ‘Digital Out of Home’ space. It solutions include station automation with multi-format video server, an instant replay system as well as a web-centric digital signage solution.

IBC2010 will see the first European demonstration of Tightrope’s Zeplay instant replay system on the EMEA Gateway stand. Launched at NAB 2010, Zeplay is a four-in, four-out instant replay system that continuously records four 100Mbps HD-SDI streams while simultaneously playing out any or all of the streams. It is designed so that a single operator can effectively manage all four angles and all eight streams. It features a high-end jog/shuttle controller, a built-in multi-viewer for all eight streams, and GPI interfaces for integration into production systems. Zeplay is an ideal solution for sports applications including arenas, stadiums and Outside Broadcast vehicles.
