One of a kind: Sixth Lightpower Open Days were a huge succes

Lightpower Open Days at the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum

Over 1000 visitors from more than 30 countries attended the recent Lightpower Open Days, hosted by the internationally renowned German distributor of professional stage lighting and show technology.

This international business symposium proved to be a major meeting place for the lighting and visuals industry. In addition to lectures by well known contributors like Patrick Woodroffe, Rick Fisher, Manfred „Ollie“ Olma, and Jürgen Schmidt-André, scores of renowned guests from theatres, TV, concert touring and live events came to Paderborn to share the Open Days experience which took place in the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum.

As well as highly interesting lectures and informative seminars, all guests were able to get an insight into the latest developments in the fields of control, video, dimming, networking, moving lights, spot lights, follow spots, LED sources, trussing, clamps, custom-made products, power supplies, gel strings and numerous effects. All of Lightpower's major partners were also in the focus with their products.

Monday evening's entertainment programme was also hugely popular. “8 Ball Aitken” from Australia performed on stage with his flawless Bluesrock as well as “Barpiano” from Germany, who delivered a perfect combination of soul and jazz whilst the guests enjoyed their drinks and lively social interaction.

Lightpower’s Managing Director Ralph-Jörg Wezorke was thrilled with the Open Days: “These sixth Open Days were our best to date. Although past Open Days in the last 20 years have been highly acclaimed, the latest event was ground-breaking. The international press as well as the contributors and guests all agreed that Lightpower Open Days are a leading business forum. They offer a convergence of ideas from designers, technicians and manufacturers, creating a unique chemistry not found anywhere else. This cultivates a valuable information exchange and provides inspiration and motivation that our guests can utilise for their daily work. The whole event was organised by the Lightpower company team, who created an atmosphere that everyone was very happy to be part of, emphasising the fact that we love what we do. I’m very proud of this team”.
