The deadline for application is 29 June.

The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) is an international media and broadcasting exhibition and conference that takes place in Amsterdam every September. IBC’s Rising Stars programme for students and young professionals runs alongside this, and will allow those interested in taking up a career in broadcasting to gain insight into the latest technological advances and the big issues facing the broadcast industry. Students will also get an 80% discount on conference passes.

The Rising Stars programme

This dedicated programme represents an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal to the latest equipment, understand some of the complex issues facing the industry and share in the IBC experience. This year’s programme includes:

• Daily tours of the exhibition lead by Merion Hughes, BKSTS
• Advice on making the most of the show from an IBC veteran
• Networking with fellow students and industry professionals
• Predictions of the changing world of media from previous RTS Young Technologist of the year, Jon Block
• A whole day dedicated to getting you a job in the industry

Rising Stars Showcase

IBC is inviting contributions for this year’s IBC Rising Stars Showcase session in which teams present on a broadcast-related issue of their choosing. Those selected will be invited to attend IBC* and contribute to a lively session that will showcase the work and thinking of those who will form the broadcast industry of the future. If you have a topic that you would like to offer, please contact conference@ibc.org by the end of June.
