Yamaha Launched Updated StageMix
posted:
Originally launched in 2010, StageMix has proved incredibly popular with users of Yamaha’s M7CL and LS9 digital consoles. Its array of controls and displays have made life much easier for many monitor engineers, sound designers and system technicians, indeed some artists have even taken to doing their own monitor mixes with it.
StageMix V3 includes an array of powerful new features all of which are available for use with the CL series. In addition, Yamaha continues to support M7CL and LS9 users with a version of StageMix V3 for these consoles.

New features of StageMix V3 include
· DCA Faders (M7CL and CL only)
· Mute Group Masters
· Channel Naming
· Channel Pan
· Send Levels in Meter Bridge
· Tap Tempo
· Edit Mixer Setting (e.g., IP and MAC Addresses)
· Bank Navigation in Long Faders mode
· Selectable Input and Output Meter Positions

· HPF ON button always available in EQ screen
Crucially, both StageMix and Yamaha’s CL Editor software (which replaces Studio Manager for the CL series) can be run simultaneously.
Another software solution that has proved very popular with Yamaha users is File Converter. Yamaha has now upgraded this program to a quad-directional version allowing users to quickly and easily exchange console files directly between the CL series, PM5D, M7CL and LS9.

File Converter gives rental companies tremendous flexibility in how they deploy Yamaha consoles, enabling them to swiftly react to changes in a production and how they prioritise their resources. Mix data created on the original console can be simply and quickly transferred to the alternative mixer, saving a great deal of time and effort.
Available from April, StageMix V3 and File Converter both continue to be free of charge and are downloadable from the iTunes Store and Yamaha Commercial Audio’s web site respectively.
