Vizrt simplifies production workflows with centralized Adobe Premiere Pro CC project management at NAB2017

Centralizing video production and graphics for editors and broadcasters

At NAB2017 Vizrt will demonstrate the latest integrations of the company’s asset management tools with the professional video applications included in Adobe® Creative Cloud®. The new features, which will be presented on the Vizrt stand (SL2416), give editors a fast and highly collaborative video editing experience using the new generation of Vizrt panels for Adobe applications.

Edit faster than ever before with Viz One
Adobe Premiere® Pro CC editors have rapid access to media via Vizrt’s media asset management system using the Viz One panel. The panel allows editors to quickly search and preview content in Viz One with Premiere Pro – and drop assets directly onto the timeline. The panel offers significantly faster turnaround time by integrating Adobe Media Encoder CC and storing media in Viz One during the render process. The tools enable an efficient, quick-turnaround solution for editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CC and playing out with the Viz Engine video server.

Never lose projects or media with centralized project management
New for NAB2017, the Viz One panel can now manage Adobe Premiere Pro CC projects. Editors can archive their project media and project files into Viz One, allowing the projects to be browsed and previewed from the Viz One web interface or inside Premiere Pro using the Viz One panel. Editors gain the flexibility of managing and browsing their projects centrally so they can easily move between workstations, retrieve archived projects and assets, and bring offline projects online.

“Having Adobe Premiere Pro CC projects managed by Viz One improves collaboration and simplifies media management. Users can delete projects and media without worrying about losing them. Recalling media is done with a single click. The workflow with Viz One is also designed to avoid media duplication. This enables the same file to be used in a thousand projects without needing a thousand copies of it,” said Oscar Tengwall, Enterprise MAM Product Manager for Vizrt.

Control media rights using automatic media tracking
Also new for NAB2017, editors can edit media in Adobe Premiere Pro CC as well as Vizrt’s pre-editing tools and Viz One will automatically retain the edits. This allows the user to visually track and navigate edit relations in Viz One and simplifies many tasks, such as managing media rights and locating source material.

Give editors freedom in what footage to use
New multi-format storage capabilities in Viz One allow users to easily open alternate technical versions of the same asset. This is commonly used to store a house format as the default media for an asset, while still giving editors the flexibility of opening 4K, or any other version of the media, from Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

“Editors always want to use the best footage available. With this new way of organizing media, editors have absolute creative freedom, while still ensuring the assets always function and plug into the broader production processes and tools found within these highly collaborative systems,” concluded Oscar Tengwall.
