Vizrt efficiently connects multiple sites with new federated search in Viz One
“We wanted to simplify connecting multiple sites to allow producers, journalists, and media managers to perform daily tasks faster and more efficiently,” said Ximena Araneda, EVP Video Workflows at Vizrt.
Federated search simplifies centralized content playout and makes sharing content easier across different regional and national offices and archives. It can also establish a dedicated disaster recovery site and connect relevant departmental systems. The federated search is based on the powerful Viz One API and allows each site to operate independently with its own system, while still being able to search and retrieve content seamlessly from other Viz One systems.
At IBC 2016 Vizrt will present the latest version of Viz One, 5.11, which has improved efficiency from previous versions allowing you to:
- Publish more content to multiple platforms - Vizrt’s story production tool, Viz Story, has been tightly integrated with Viz One and enables journalists to easily edit videos, add graphics and create stories for publication online and to social media.
- Centralize production or playout - Simplify media movement for every channel with new newsroom and traffic workflows. The fulfillment status of all playlists and rundowns can be centrally monitored in a web-based interface that shows detailed transfer speeds.
- Find and share material more efficiently - The new “Smart Search” feature allows searching across all types of assets in a single query. This makes finding media faster and easier than ever before.
- Reduce storage TCO - Vizrt’s new support for H.264 media format, as well as the new object storage offering with Swiftstack, gives customers smaller files and truly scalable storage.
