VGTV Sets New World Record

.

In a more than a 30 hour long interview with Norwegian crime writer, chess player, historian, and politician Hans Olav Lahlum, VGTV set a new world record for longest interview ever recorded.  The interview was broadcasted live by VGTV which is the broadcast department of Norway’s biggest news and media house VG.

The production was done using 5 Panasonic AG-HPX371 cameras with full studio remote packs.  Several AG-HPX250 were also in action and used mainly as roaming cameras to capture audience reactions and background material.

"During the more than 30 hours the broadcast lasted, we did not experience a single technical problem with the Panasonic cameras. We are very pleased with the performance and especially the operational stability. For us this means that we can safely put them to use in challenging productions without worries” says chief technology officer of VGTV, Pål Hansen.
