TSL Systems Announces Operational Restructure

TSL Develops New Business Streams

TSL Systems, a leading systems integrator for the broadcast industry, announced a restructuring of its operations, to meet the challenges faced by businesses operating in the ever-changing world of media-consumption. The company is implementing a new business development strategy at a time of global economic uncertainty and introducing a leaner business model that will maximise the efficiency of its expertise

"TSL Systems has been developing alternative strategies and making substantial progress in exploiting new business streams in recent months to counteract the fact that our traditional client base has become ever more cautious when making investments involving substantial capital expenditure," stated David Phillips, Managing Director, TSL Systems.

"Our systems' business development team is now providing a new approach to the process of winning business, including that from new vertical markets such as emerging TV content producers".
A new TSL subsidiary which complements the activities of the Group's long-established Systems division was formed three months ago specifically to provide highly cost-effective systems integration for these emerging markets.  It has already exceeded its first year's turnover targets and is continuing to expand; more details will be announced shortly.

TSL Systems continues to provide comprehensive and high quality services, matching what the industry has come to expect from it as a leading systems integrator. The new structure will result in a number of redundancies and efficiency savings which will only relate to the running of internal processes and will not affect the customer experience and support on which TSL Systems has built its reputation.

The core expertise of TSL Systems in essential technologies, such as file-based systems, MAM, studios and HD are being retained and are integral part of TSL's future plans.

TSL is a leading creator of integrated broadcast systems. In an industry characterised by rapid growth and intense competition, the company is a consistent high-achiever and is the only organisation of its type offering truly independent advice allied to more than 26 years' experience in the field.
Having recently completed such high-profile projects as Phases 1 and 2 of the broadcast infrastructure at MediaCityUK, Sky News Arabia, TVNZ's new file-based workflow and media asset management system, as well as multiple fibre-based HD studios at the University of Salford, TSL has significantly broadened the scope of its services and expanded the size and complexity of the solutions it delivers.

With a reputation for forward-thinking and independent values, combined with a continued drive to address and resolve the challenges that today's growing file-based/IP-centric projects command, TSL is able to provide the most comprehensive, cost-effective systems integration capability available today.
