ToolsOnAir, a leading provider of mac-based broadcast solutions, announced a major update for its well known LiveCut multicamera workflow solution today.

This award-winning software eliminates many of the time consuming tasks involved in a multicamera production environment by combining ingest, metadata handling, and post-production into a single streamlined, easy-to-use interface. LiveCut combines with ToolsOnAir's powerful just:in ingest engine to capture multiple simultaneous input streams into your preferred container - no transcodings or gateways are required throughout the production process.

LiveCut records all edits being performed as an Edit Decision List (EDL), which is converted into a multicamera timeline for immediate and fast post-production. Production notes, markers, and comments entered during the recording are transferred straight to the edit, as well as to your media asset management solution. And LiveCut handles all this all in real time during the actual recording stage.
