At last year's IBC show, ToolsOnAir turned heads with their "TV Station in a Mac Mini," and the overwhelming consensus among broadcast professionals was that this concept represented the future of the broadcast industry. Since then, ToolsOnAir's Broadcast Suite has become an integral part of several more than 350 broadcast facilities in 47 countries, delivering real-world power and performance in a small and cost-effective setup.

Dutch broadcasters Xite (www.xite.nl) have implemented a full ToolsOnAir broadcast solution for their music TV and on demand cable and IPTV network, utilizing just two Apple Mac Mini computers to run their 24/7 video playout service. In Dubai, leading broadcast equipment rental and sales company Best Broadcast Hire (BBH) recently unveiled their Shooter6 OB Van, a compact mobile broadcasting and graphics solution based around a single Mac Mini and ToolsOnAir's Broadcast Suite of multichannel ingest and playback tools. And Jay Johnson of California-based Action Sports Productions (www.actionsportsproductions.com) is using ToolsOnAir to create a complete live production center, including computer graphics, that can fit in a suitcase.

In the newsroom environment, ToolsOnAir's full integration with popular systems including Octopus, AP ENPS, and Annova Open Media enables users to provide fully automated 24/7 playout, as well as an integrated solution for newsroom playout and real-time graphics.

Together with a Thunderbolt-connected multi-I/O interface like AJA's IO XT or BMD Ultrastudio 3D, ToolsOnAir's Broadcast Suite turns an off-the-shelf Mac Mini into a professional, full-featured multi-camera broadcast video facility, with multicamera ingest, 24/7 automated playout, and real-time live graphics integration.

At this year's IBC Show, ToolsOnAir will demonstrate a complete end-to-end workflow from ingest to playout, showcasing the powerful integration capabilities of their just:mam Media Asset Management system, offering metadata capabilities to enable users' workflow to grow with their needs.
