SOMMER CABLE simplifies media control by integrable pushbutton modules

Beside the fast setup and wiring the pushbutton modules also score with an easy operation that requires no programming skills at all. And owing to customizable label fields with a white LED illumination, the users will benefit from a clear user guidance – combined with a classy look. The pushbutton modules allow a seamless integration into furniture, conference rooms and public interiors. In addition to the installation option into the SYS housing line from the SOMMER CABLE product range or duct systems they are also suitable for almost all switchframe systems currently available on the market.

As of now the new pushbutton modules are available in two variants:
A passive version with a very wide input voltage range from 3.3 V to 36 V for the LEDs and four floating buttons – connectable via a 4-pole plug-in clamp connection –, and also an RS232 version with a built-in mini media controller.
The RS232 model version can be cascaded with up to 16 modules on the same bus using standard CAT5 or CAT6 network cables. The maximum bus length is 25 meters with an AWG24 line. Programming is done via a USB connection by means of an intuitive PC software.
Due to an already implemented instruction set, an integration with the CARDINAL DVM-194-CON media controller is equally possible as with virtually all other solutions available on the market.
