Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup Focussing on Three Theatre Topics

Many Berlin theatres use Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup audio technology

The Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup invites all customers and prospective customers in the theatre and events industries to meet up on their booth 3/A45 at Showtech. One of the key topics is digital audio mixing, one of the central pillars of the Mediagroup in the theatre. Besides its large AURUS audio mixing console, which can be found in many theatre installations worldwide, the Mediagroup also offers appropriate solutions for smaller houses with tighter budgets but the same high quality standards.

This is the home ground for CRESCENDO and the smaller AURATUS, the latter of which will be presented at Showtech. AURATUS’ very compact installation dimensions combined with fast and intuitive operation distinguish AURATUS as a small and versatile theatre console. It can also be found in many Berlin installations such as the Federal Press Office and in the control room of the Berlin Philharmonic Virtual Concert Hall, an online portal through which you can experience the Philharmonic concerts live via the Internet.

Many Berlin theatres use Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup audio technology. One such is the “Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz”. It is equipped with extensive digital mixing systems consiting of four AURUS consoles and a large NEXUS network. The Mediagroup is offering a technical tour to this location, with the emphasis on the three mobile stage management systems. The tour will start on the 8th of June at 10:30 from Showtech.

It covers, among other things, the AVB standard and Dante, Binaural Room Synthesis, which is the process of simulating virtual monitoring environments or seating positions in the hall through headphones and 3-D audio reproduction. The highlight of the Banz seminar will be a paper about the practical aspects of sound design for musicals which is supported by the internationally active sound designer Kai Harada, over a live circuit direct from the United States. Another key aspect of the seminar will be a demonstration of the possibillities of virtual room acoustics simulation with the digital Vivace system.
